✍️ The Design: The flag of the UK, sometimes referred to as the “Union Jack” (though this only applies when added to the canton of a flag, is a S tier flag. Created from the combination of the English , Scottish , and Northern Irish (no emoji) flags, the UK flag is as beautiful as it is full of meaning. 

You: But wait, Michael. Isn’t Wales part of the UK? Why aren’t they represented in the flag of the United Kingdom? 

Me: Great question! And the answer lies in a long British history of pretending Wales doesn’t exist.
